If you choose the guaranteed option, you skip the free queue and get scheduled right away with a confirmed spot. It doesn’t affect the free queue at all. If you switch from the guaranteed option to the free option later, you’re moved to the end of the free queue. That keeps the process fair for everyone already waiting.
